  Sri Mohan Verghese Chunkanth holds a post-graduate degree in Zoology. He belongs to the 1978 batch of IAS Officers. As additional Chief Secretary, Mr Chunkath was heading the Tamil Nadu State Department of Environment and Forests since December 2012.
